A Monument to Consistency: Ankara Capoeira Association & Axé Capoeira Türkiye Turn 7

Founded on December 14, 2003, the Ankara Capoeira Association — Turkey’s first capoeira association and its most consistent capoeira academy, teaching without interruption under the same roof, the same group and the same mestre — is completing its 7th year. It brought the first mestres to Turkey, organized the first capoeira showcase days on theater stages, holds batizados, festivals and workshops every year with world-famous mestres, hosted two big Turkey meetings, now sends instructors to events abroad, and has branches in Bursa, İstanbul, İzmir, Mersin, Urfa and Baku. We invite everyone to celebrate the 7th anniversary of our association and group on Sunday, December 12 at our academy in Bahçelievler: open roda, maculelê, solo performances, fun and surprise guests…
